Upload or paste any image and we return an objective probability that it was created by an AI image generator. There’s no sign-up, and your image is deleted after analysis. We built wedetect.ai because AI-generated images are now everywhere — in profiles, listings, and news — and people need a fast, free way to get a second opinion.

Our detector combines two independent signals:

• A visual model — a machine-learning classifier trained on millions of real and AI-generated images across a diverse mix of generators (Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, Flux and more), so it generalizes to newer models it hasn’t seen.
• Metadata & provenance — we read C2PA Content Credentials (the signed provenance standard used by OpenAI, Adobe, Google and camera makers), AI-generation tags, and invisible watermarks when present. These can confirm an image’s origin even when the visual model is unsure.

We’re deliberately honest about limitations. No AI detector is perfect: results are probabilistic and can be wrong in both directions. We return a probability rather than a yes/no, and we recommend using it as a strong signal alongside visual inspection and a reverse image search — not as sole proof. We continually test the detector across many image categories (faces, art, interiors, products, textures and more) to reduce false positives on genuine photos.
