WeDetect provides an AI image detection service that helps users identify whether images were generated by artificial intelligence. The service is provided "as is" and may be subject to limitations, including daily usage limits.

2. Data Collection & Storage

Image Processing: When you use our service:

  • Images are processed instantly and analyzed for AI detection
  • Images may be retained for training purposes

Usage Data: We collect and store:

  • IP addresses for rate limiting purposes
  • Basic usage statistics
  • Detection results and accuracy metrics

3. User Responsibilities

By using our service, you agree to:

  • Not upload any illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Not attempt to circumvent the daily usage limits
  • Not use automated means to access the service without permission
  • Accept that uploaded images may be retained and used for service improvement

4. Privacy & Security

We are committed to protecting your privacy while providing our service:

  • We do not share your uploaded images with third parties
  • Usage data is collected solely for service operation and improvement
  • IP addresses are stored securely and used only for rate limiting

5. Service Limitations & Accuracy

Please be aware of the following limitations:

  • Daily usage is limited to 10 image checks per IP address
  • Maximum file size per upload is 32MB
  • Only image files are accepted
  • Detection results are probabilistic and can be wrong. The service returns an estimated likelihood that an image is AI-generated — not a definitive verdict. It can, and sometimes will, produce false positives (flagging a genuine photo as AI) and false negatives (missing an AI-generated image).
  • AI generation methods change constantly, so accuracy varies by image, source, and generator, and may decline over time for newer techniques.

Results are provided for general informational purposes only and are not professional, legal, forensic, journalistic, financial, or evidentiary advice. You should not rely on a result as the sole basis for any decision. For anything important, independently verify using additional methods (e.g. visual inspection, metadata analysis, reverse image search, and professional review).

6. No Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeDetect disclaims all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that detection results are accurate, complete, or reliable, or that the service will meet your requirements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeDetect and its owners, operators, affiliates, and contributors shall not be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the service or its results — including any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, and any loss of profits, reputation, data, or goodwill — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. You use the service, and act on its results, entirely at your own risk. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which for this free service is USD $0.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WeDetect and its owners, operators, and affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your reliance on any result, or your violation of these terms.
